A Leaf-Shaped Animal Draws The Hand Daniel Steegmann Mangrané

This publication was published in conjunction with Daniel Steegmann Mangrané's exhibitions Ne voulais prendre ni forme, ni chair, ni matière at IAC - Institut d'art contemporain, Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes and A Leaf-Shaped Animal Draws The Hand at Pirelli HangarBicocca, Milan. It is the most complete monograph by the artist to date and traces his work from the late 1990's to the present day, presenting a registry of over one hundred works including installations, drawings, sculptures, photographs and film productions.

The exhibition catalogue collects texts by art historians Kaira M. Cabañas and Flora Katz, a conversation between Daniel Steegmann Mangrané and writer and curator Lauren Cornell, as well as texts by Nathalie Ergino, director of IAC - Institut d'art contemporain, Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes, and the curators of the exhibition at Pirelli HangarBicocca, Lucia Aspesi and Fiammetta Griccioli.
