The sculptures are based on shelters ostensibly built by the artist's small daughter by covering mundane objects and furnishings with sheets to create a play den and/or fantasy space.

The work is from a series of portraits based merely on the artist's memory, each portrait having its own palette, choice and mixing of colors. He often explores creative and cognitive processes, referring to the works from this series as “vessels for the idea”.
