The KiCo Foundation was established in 2009 by the husband-and-wife collectors couple Hans-Gerd Riemer and Doris Keller-Riemer who began collecting young contemporary art about 20 years ago. Right from the beginning, it was important for them to cooperate with public museums. As a result, they have been working closely and continuously with the Kunstmuseum Bonn since 1995, their cooperation with the Lenbachhaus München beginning a little later.
