Introduction

The medicinal plants give nourishment to bees; the bees fly out from a beehive in the garden into the wider area of Kassel and pollinate plants both inside and outside the garden. The beehive is uncultivated; it is growing as a living mask on the face of the statue, a concrete sculpture such as the ones you would expect to encounter in public parks. The statue is a reclining female nude by Max Weber most likely from the 1930s.

The statue, hidden among the high grass, is partly covered by the bees that produce their hive, wax and honey there. The bees leave the body and the garden of fictions and pollinate the outside area and vice versa, returning to the hive in the evenings. In addition to the bees, tadpoles turning into frogs, wood ants forming high nests, and a female dog with 2 puppies will be present on the site.
