Angela Bulloch Target Object Slapping Pythagoras, 2023

Target Object Slapping Pythagoras consists of a wall-mounted 3D-printed stone modelled on a cobblestone onto which Bulloch hand painted a geometric motif. This red, orange and black image is linked to a digital animation accessible via an especially developed mobile application, AB_AR.

The digital content depicts a visualization of Bulloch's performative work The Daily Cloud. The recreation of the performative sculpture—a dense cloud of fog produced by a industrial strength fog machine that fills an enclosed space every day at 12:00 pm—echoes how The Daily Cloud is enacted daily in The Window space at Esther Schipper Seoul on the ground floor.

Target Object Slapping Pythagoras is from a new body of work employing hybrid technologies, bringing together major themes in the artist's practice.
