preemptive particles 3/3 consists of three white discs on which a grouping of three eggs nestle. The round discs vaguely recall Kuri's recurring motif of greatly enlarged coins. The configuration of the objects suggests an oblique message or system, a major theme in the artist's practice.
In addition, the use of intact egg shells is an artistic nod of acknowledgement to the work of the famous conceptual Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers (1924-1976) who in the 1960s produced several works employing (mostly broken) egg shells.
