Roman Ondak Storyboard, 2015
Empty spaces of the museum were drawn by Ondak’s friends and relatives based on his descriptions
Series of 20 drawings
50 x 60 cm approx. each, 20 parts (framed)
Storyboard consists of twenty framed drawings which were made by Roman Ondak's friends and relatives and are installed as a group on a wall. They are based on the artist's description of the exhibition space of the Times Museum in Guangzhou, designed by Rem Koolhaas and Alain Fouraux in 2010. Because they were made by different people, each drawing varies noticeably in style, scale and use of color. They are unified by depicting what each person imagined on hearing the description by Ondak: while they all depict empty rooms, many focus on distinct architectural features that the artist must have mentioned.
