This work from Daniel Steegmann Mangrané’s series of prepared sculptures made from split twigs, intertwining the two parts, as if mirrored. Their delicate branches form a miniature thicket in which a triangular shape is drawn with elastic string. The graceful sculpture takes on an embodied, perhaps even anthropomorphic quality, suggesting a sense of both fragility and resilience.
