The work consists of mostly dark green glass in densely packed rows to form an island-like structure with a steep peak to on side. From within the dark green expanse several areas made from clear glass stand out, like icy patches in an otherwise forested terrain. Each work in this series entitled Studio consists of bottle glass. Cut into narrow largely rectangular shards and assembled on a silicone base, the sculptures are reminiscent of volcanic formations or fantastic shimmering islands. The sharp edges of the unevenly cut green glass enticingly glitter but convey a well-founded element of danger as well.
