The work's three felt panels, installed in a vertical row, recall gigantic punch cards, used since the late 19th century in information management. Throughout the panels' surfaces, in clusters that suggest a (hidden) meaning, small black beans have been pushed into the soft material, making the pattern of small black dots appear initially as the holes that convey information to the reading mechanism.
