Pierre Huyghe’s site-specific large-scale project for the 2017 Skulptur Projekte — a decennial exhibition in Münster curated by Kaspar König — consisted of several interlocking parts: alterations to an existing building, a live ecosystem of animals, insects and plants, an incubator containing living cancer cells, and an augmented reality app adding an overlapping virtual pattern to the physical environment.
