Returning to one of their longstanding interests, the concept and mechanics of time-keeping, Grönlund-Nisunen commissioned a mechanical clock which was entirely built by an artisanal watchmaker using only traditional means. Maquina del Tiempo combines the technology of earliest mechanical clocks. Similar to its earliest forebears it has neither face nor hands, as its size would translate into almost imperceptibly slow movement of the hands.
