The work consists of the model of a building, a cast-aluminum shelf and a book containing a short text written by the artist that tells of inhabitants and events pertaining to the structure.
The yellow, one story, flat-roofed house has blue sections indicating openings. On one side a piece of leather with four pieces of miniature furnishings and a role of yarn appears as if a black substance were pouring out of the structure.
The metal shelf has triangular brackets at each end, one facing up on the left and one facing down on the right. Its edges have been cast from corrugated cardboard and have the characteristic appearance of vertical stabilizing cells between the horizontal sheets which gives the material its great durability. Although now made from metal, the edges of the shelf retain the paradoxical impression of fragility and strength.
The book has been especially designed for this work. Its cover shows a starry night sky, alluding to the content of the short story, which notes that the furniture taken outside by the inhabitants of the house was sometimes left there overnight. The story, written in the voice of a dispassionate observer, describes the actions that may have created this scenario but it does not explain why it came about.
