Powder-coated Aluminum, vinyl drawing
101 x 95 x 11 cm
This body of work combines a powder-coated aluminum structure with a graphic element that anthropomorphizes the work with a cartoon-like moustache. This reference has a double function: one the one hand, the elements manifestly refer to a human face and on the other hand, by incongruously combining the industrial-looking geometric structures with graphically simplified representations of human attributes, they evoke an emotional response from the spectator. The graphic elements of this body of work then find both a representation and an enactment of the theoretical writings by Gabriel Tarde to which the title refers.
